Professor C. Brandon Ogbunu asks whether differences in genetic background affect susceptibility to disease and the effectiveness of drugs. For Ogbunu, this work gets at the deeper question of how the background of built form and cultural worlds shape the spread of disease while also building toward the computational problem of mapping the vast design space of protein structure. The “Unfolding Models” panel provides a unique context in which to bring these different scales and contexts of inquiry together through discussion of the epidemic.
